Hello! My name is Samuel Lopez and this is my new flag design for Salt Lake City. I chose Salt Lake City because I was born there and I did not like the flag for it. The old flag had blue and green as the background and a circle in the middle. The circle contained mountains and the skyline in the city. It also had text saying Salt Lake City. The colors were not great and it did not have anything that represented Utah other than the text, so I decided to change it. I made the background blue because of the lake and it contrasted well with the yellow of the beehive. I put the beehive in because it is the state symbol of Utah and Salt Lake is the capital of Utah. I really like my state flag. I think it represents the city well. Thank you and I hope you like it.
